Stockbridge
Stockbridge is a specialized investment group focused on marketable securities. Berkshire believes that such investment activities are complementary to our private equity business. This effort is based on a research intensive process that capitalizes on the knowledge we gain from our private equity investment activities and relationships. We expect to take selective positions in public securities with a bias to be long term investors. We believe information sharing will also help our private equity effort.
At this time, we are investing solely internal capital. We will consider fundraising from external sources when appropriate.
