2010: The Food Project
On October 21, Berkshire volunteers worked in the fields of Baker Bridge Farm in Lincoln, MA to harvest crops for The Food Project. The team harvested over 5,000 lbs of food (equivalent of 10,000 servings), including turnips, radishes, beets, carrots, corn and potatoes. The produce gathered was distributed through community supported agriculture programs, sold at farmers' markets in Boston and donated to local hunger relief organizations.
